A Connection with Nature
My childhood was marked by family travels, notably during our two years living in the United States, where I discovered my passion for the wilderness. Vast expanses, majestic animals, and grand landscapes awakened in me a deep sense of connection with the natural world.
As an adult, I became a water traveler, navigating life's currents. Sometimes, amidst vast natural expanses, my gaze rests upon the towering mountains like immovable guardians. It was only through a journey to Japan that I began to feel the subtle energy of the mountains. Being a woman of the water, the proximity between water and mountain undoubtedly awakened a new sensitivity in me to the Stone People and their medicine.
The Call of the Ancients
Guided by a mysterious force, I embarked on a spiritual journey to Peru, a land steeped in history and mysticism. After several stays in the jungle, I eventually met my 'maestra,' Pashin Beka, who, on a starry night beneath the southern hemisphere's firmament, baptized me "Inka Cabi," adding that it was linked to my descent from the Incas.
After this baptism, it became evident that I had to go to the Andes. My journey led me to the snowy peaks of the Andes, where I found refuge at the foot of the majestic Apu Ausangate, the most sacred mountain of the Qu'eros, the last descendants of the Incas. For days, I observed the mountain, seeking a deep connection, wondering if it would speak to me, or rather if I would be able to hear it.
The Voice of the Stones
One morning, as the sun rose over the snowy summit of Apu Ausangate, I felt a deep connection with this immutable being. The mountain spoke to me. Its words were clear and powerful, resonating in the depths of my being. I realized that the Stone People were the silent guardians of the Earth's memory, of everything that has happened on our Mother Earth. Each Stone is a wise teacher guiding me on the path of knowledge and transformation.

The Bridge to Hopi Wisdom
Through my explorations in the Andean mountains, I discovered striking parallels with the ancestral wisdom of the Hopis. These Earth guardians, like the Qu'eros, have preserved precious teachings on harmony with nature and spiritual connection with the universe. The Hopis have a deep relationship with the earth and stones that dates back millennia. In their cosmology, the Hopis believe that stones are living beings and that they possess consciousness. These stones are considered guardians of ancient wisdom and spiritual energy. For the Hopis, stones are sacred and play an essential role in their ceremonies and religious practices. They are used as instruments of healing, meditation, and connection with the spirits of nature. The Hopis attach great importance to harmony with the earth and regard stones as physical manifestations of this harmony. In Hopi teachings, it is often said that stones hold a memory of everything that has happened on Earth and that they can transmit this wisdom to those who are ready to listen. Therefore, the Hopis have a profound respect for stones and consider them as spiritual guides on the path of knowledge and awakening.
Working with the Medicine Wheel
In my shamanic journey, I discovered the power of the medicine wheel, an ancient tradition of the Native Americans that honors the cycles of nature and the wisdom of the four directions, symbolized by 36 stones. I learned to listen to the messages of the stones positioned on the wheel, which represent different energies and aspects of life. Each stone brings its unique teaching, enriching my understanding of the world and myself.
The Power of the Earth
Through my travels in the Amazon jungle and the high plateaus of the Andes, I discovered the healing power of the earth. Every plant, every rock, every breath of wind was full of life and wisdom. By connecting with nature, I found the strength to heal my inner wounds and to fully embrace my destiny. My journey in shamanism transformed me from within, leading me to transcend my limits and, above all, allowed me to identify my patterns of repetition, to shed light on my shadows in order to better see them. Through sacred ceremonies and encounters with wise beings, I found more peace and clarity. Each step on the path was an initiation, a revelation of my original medicine and my connection with the universe.
Listening to the Wisdom of Stones
Communication with the Stone People is an intimate and sacred experience that requires openness, sensitivity, and respect. By listening to the voice of stones, we can access ancient and profound wisdom, guiding us on the path of knowledge and transformation. Grandmother Medicine Song says, "Spirits speak through symbols and images," so hearing the Stone People speak is more an experience of intuitive and spiritual feeling than physical hearing.
Here are some suggestions on how you might perceive communication with the Stone People:
Openness and Sensitivity: Be open to the idea that communication with stones can occur on a subtle level, beyond words or physical sounds.
Meditation and Contemplation: Find a quiet place where you feel connected to nature. Sit near a stone that draws you in and take the time to relax, breathe deeply, and open yourself to the experience.
Inner Listening: Dive into your own inner world and be attentive to the thoughts, images, or sensations that emerge when you are in the presence of the stone. This can be a form of silent dialogue or intuitive understanding.
Symbolism and Metaphors: Stones can communicate through symbols and metaphors that resonate with your inner being. Pay attention to symbolic impressions or messages you receive.
Energetic Connection: You may feel a kind of vibration, warmth, or tingling when you are in contact with a stone that is communicating with you. Learn to recognize and interpret these energetic sensations.
Regular Practice: As with any form of intuitive communication, regular practice is essential. The more time you spend intentionally connecting with stones, the easier it becomes to perceive their subtle language.
Humble and Respectful: Approach this experience with humility and respect for stones as living beings with their own wisdom and tempo. Be ready to listen and learn.
Remember that communication with the Stone People is a personal and unique experience for each individual. Trust your intuition and sensitivities to guide your exploration of this deep connection with nature.
