Exploration of the Hopi Prophecy and the Fifth World

Since I embarked on learning the teachings of the Hopis, one concept has captured my attention: the concept of the Fifth World and the accompanying Hopi prophecy. It's a vision deeply rooted in Hopi tradition, an invitation to dream forward, to imagine and co-create a better future. Today, I invite you to delve a little deeper into these concepts.

Inner Awakening

A few years ago, I had the opportunity to meet Grandmother Medicine Song, a teacher of Hopi wisdom. Her words deeply touched me, especially when she shared her reflections on the 4th and 5th Worlds. She reminded us that we currently live in the 4th World, and that the 5th World has not yet manifested, according to the Hopi creation story. We are between the two worlds, and it is up to us to dream forward, to manifest a future of peace and harmony.

Explanation of the Hopi Prophecy

Hopi cosmology teaches that the world passes through various eras or worlds, each marked by specific events and distinct prophecies. These predictions, passed down from generation to generation by the elders, describe the cycles of creation and the stages of human evolution.

Currently, according to this narrative, we are in the fourth world, called by Sotuknang, Tuwaqachi or the completed world.

You will discover why. Everything there is not as beautiful and easy as in the previous worlds. It is made of highs and lows, of heat and cold, of beauty and desolation. There is everything you could choose. For it is this choice that will decide if, this time, you are able to evolve the Creator's Project; or if this world too will have to be destroyed in its time. [...] You will be assisted by your deities and by your benevolent spirits. Keep your doors* open, and never forget what I have told you. Thus have I spoken.

This world is characterized by corruption, the destruction of the environment, and spiritual separation. The Hopis believe that we are approaching the end of this era to enter the fifth world, the world of peace and unity. The fifth world embodies a vision of hope, offering the opportunity to restore harmony with the Earth and all living beings.

According to Hopi prophecies, the advent of the fifth world will be preceded by periods of turmoil and purification. Yet, it will also be a time of reconciliation, healing, and restoration of harmony with nature and among peoples. The Hopis teach that this fifth world will be a time of peace, mutual understanding, and respect for all forms of life.

I invite you to watch this video of Hopi Spiritual Leader Thomas Banyacya's Speech at the United Nations Headquarters on December 10, 1992. This poignant speech touches on the creation story of the world and the prophecies of the Hopi people.

Thus, invoking the concept of the fifth world emphasizes the importance of reconnecting with the spiritual connection offered by the ancestral teachings of the Hopis, in order to prepare the way for this era of peace and unity.

Dreaming Forward

Dreaming forward, is much more than mere contemplation. It's a call to action, a momentum towards the realization of our aspirations. It's recognizing our power as co-creators of reality. For the Hopis, the word "dream" does not quite have the same meaning as it does for us. It all starts with a thought, and every thought gives birth to a dream. Hence the importance of being vigilant about what we think, in other words, about what we "dream." Thus, you are the creator of your reality. We have often heard about theories of abundance, or how to manifest abundance. Well, for the Hopis, it's not so different, they use the word "dream." If you want to manifest abundance, you must start by dreaming of this abundance.

So you will understand that for the Hopis, this goes beyond simply dreaming; it's an invitation to align our thoughts, actions, and prayers towards a common goal: the manifestation of the fifth world. For them, it is essential to harmonize our dreams, to merge them into a single vision, in order to create a powerful and coherent collective momentum towards a future of peace and unity. Every contribution, however small, counts in the creation of this shared dream of the fifth world.

As we enter this period of transformation on Earth, let us remember that we are the architects of our destiny. Join us on this journey to the Fifth World, where we can restore the Sacred Circle of life and create a future of peace and harmony for all beings.
